The Conversa modular lounge collection is a system of components based on a three-foot grid. By building the units on a grid system it provides unlimited flexibility when planning a collaborative area. Seats, backs, arms, and tables can be mixed and matched to create long runs or smaller clusters.
The forms are purposefully shaped to read as softened squares while not being too soft that you lose the definition of the system. Each piece is designed to look inviting while balancing the looks of individual parts and the entire system.
Conversa uses a strong monolithic shape to act as a visual anchor in a room, becoming the foundation for further customization. Its form is deliberately simple to keep the focus on the overall shape of the desired configuration and the accessories it’s paired with.
To easily reconfigure the units, we have designed a system of lift-off brackets. These brackets allow you to simply lift and drop units into place for ease of reconfiguring layouts, replacing parts, or moving units for cleaning. For a more permanent solution, we designed bolt-together ganging plates.
The coffee table units use the same ganging features so they can be seamlessly integrated into the system. Their solid metal sides carry the same monolithic look as the upholstered sections while the mixing of materials and finishes adds visual interest. With all ganging features cleverly hidden underneath, the tables can be used as standalone pieces without compromise.
For privacy, the Calm screen collection has been designed to fit within the system. Freestanding screens can be easily slid underneath the seating units or screen panels can be squeezed between cushions. Built on the same three-foot grid system as Conversa, the Calm privacy screens will always line up with seat units for a clean look.
